Launched on Black Theatre Day (Sept. 17) and the anniversary of The African Grove Theatre, the first known professional Black theatre company in the United States, "alive vibrant vital & funded" is activated to transform the narrative about Black Theatre and invest in the institutions carrying its legacy into the future.
