About Echoes of Us

ECHOES OF US is a series of curated monologues from writers spanning the African diaspora that depict diverse expressions of the Black experience and dramatize interconnections of who we are. This creative expression of Blackness is a unique live experience that echoes our ancestors, families, and communities, speaking to the evolving nature of our lived experiences and transcends across time and generations. This program aims to amplify Black storytelling, generate revenue for Black theatres while prioritizing collaboration and community engagement. Development, curation, and staging for ECHOES is a collaborative co-production model that aligns with The International Black Theatre Summit’s mission to strategize the future of Black storytelling for the first decade of the next 100 years.
