MENTORSHIP
PAY IT FORWARD ALL-CAREER LEVEL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Fostering relationships across career levels is key to thrivability and professional success. The mentorship and networking wing of the CRAFT Institute, Pay It Forward, is designed to help scholars and artists expand their networks and share knowledge and resources that lead to professional growth and advancement.
JOIN OUR SPRING 2022 COHORT!
1. As a Mentor/Mentee (2-Year Commitment)
Based on your goals, field, and other areas of interests, we’ll match you with a well-suited mentor or mentee. You’re encouraged to do at least one check-in per month via phone, email, and/or the video platform of your choice. But of course, the relationship and how much you want to get out of it is up to you.
2. Through Virtual Events
Pay It Forward hosts regular virtual events aimed at helping participants expand their networks, share knowledge and resources, and to create lasting intergenerational relationships in their fields. Check out the schedule below.
YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:
Coming Spring 2022 Cohort

Between now and March 15th, CRAFT is accepting new participants for the Spring 2022 Pay it Forward cohort. If you would like to become a mentor and/or mentee, you can now sign up through our online portal, powered by Create Ensemble. We recommend signing up on laptop and/or desktop, as mobile devices aren't as user friendly.

Follow these next steps. Space is limited in the program, so be sure to sign up soon!

If you have any trouble signing on or creating a profile, feel free to reach out to our Pay It Forward director, Katelyn Hale Wood at khwood@thecraftinstitute.org
Welcome to the CRAFT community!
3.
There, you can review the program, and sign up on the Join Our Program tab list item. Add your own content here or connect to data from your collection.
4.
Fill out the application (it’s short and simple) which includes what you are looking for in a mentor/mentee and your areas of interest as an artist and/or scholar.
5.
In mid-March CRAFT will contact you with a mentorship match! We are very intentional in matching folks and do our very best to find everyone the right mentor/mentee. We will do our best to accept everyone into the program, but if we are unable to find you a mentor at the start of the cohort, we will make sure you are matched by the next cohort cycle.
